Danny has to tell his friends about Ember and him. Can he do it alone? Read on and you'll find out!
_________________________________________________________________

Danny walked home from school alone. He was so happy. He and Ember had been dating for almost three weeks, and he couldn't wait to get home and meet up with her.
When he came home, he walked up to his room, and saw a gift-wrapped present.
"A bit late for Christmas presents." He said, but decided to open it anyway.
He unwrapped it, and opened it. It was a black electric V-guitar!
Suddenly cold air escaped his mouth and he heard a feminine voice say "Thought we could jam together!"
She looked behind him and saw Ember floating there, smiling sweetly, her guitar on her back.
Danny held the guitar in his hands and said "you got this for me?"
She floated down to his level, hugged him, and said "of course, baby-pop!"
Danny blushed and said "I gotta say; I like that pet-name."
She smiled, and kissed him on the cheek.
She got her guitar off her back, strapped it on her shoulder and said "LET'S JAM!"
He looked up at her, holding the guitar, and said "I actually don't know how to play…"
She flew behind him, and put her hands over his.
"Just adjust your fingers like this" she whispered sweetly into his ear, helping him place his fingers where they needed to be.
She had him strum, and said "that's an A chord."
Over the next hour, she taught him some chords, notes, and then finally taught him her old song.
Soon, his parents began to hear him play. The noise was bothering them, so they barged into his room, and saw both him and Ember, sitting on his bed, strumming their guitars, smiling at each other.
"Well, well, well…" said his father, teasingly.
His mother instantly squealed in delight.
"Our little Danny has a new girlfriend!" she said, and pinched his cheek, making Ember laugh.
"A ghost girlfriend, but a girlfriend nonetheless!" his dad said, punching him playfully in the shoulder.
Danny blushed so hard that he finally couldn't take it anymore!
"Guys seriously, can we practice in peace?" he said.
Both his parents smiled, knowing they could trust their son, and walked out. Ember instantly started laughing again.
"Man, parents ARE crazy!" she said, nearly falling off the bed.
"What, you never had parents?" he asked, setting his guitar against the wall.
She slumped over and sadly said "In my life, I was an orphan."
Danny Felt sorry for her, but then cheered her up by planting a kiss on her lips. She blushed, and they began to play again.

The next night, Danny was walking out to the kitchen, and got a soda out of the fridge. When he closed the door, he saw Jazz leaning against the wall, smirking.
He jumped back surprised, spilling his soda.
"Why'd you have to sneak up on me like that?" he said, ringing out his shirt.
She chuckled and said "I hear someone's got himself a new girlfriend."
Danny was flushed red. He tried to walk away, but Jazz followed him, snickering.
He turned around and said "what do you want?!"
She crossed her arms, smirked and said "how do you do it?"
"Do what?" he said.
"How do you get so many girls, even though you're not popular?" she said.
Danny was confused; Jazz wasn't the teasing type.
"What are you talking about?" he said.
Jazz began to count off on her fingers "you've had Paulina, Little Ms. Popular. You've had Valerie the ghost hunter. You've had Sam; you're best friend that you barely dated."
Then she flicked him on the nose and said "and now you have Ember, the ghost rocker who used to be your enemy."
Danny got angry at her, and stormed off.
She snickered to herself, but had a bad feeling teasing her brother for the first time. And unfortunately, Ember had been watching the whole thing, invisible the whole time.
So to get revenge for her new beau, she overshadowed Jazz, and had her hit herself hard enough to get a black eye!
'No one messes with my Danny, not even his sister!' she said while she was inside her, then phased out, and went back through the ghost portal.

A few days later at school, Danny was having a hard time around his friends. Ember had been sneaking out of the ghost zone regularly to see him between classes.
"I don't see why you can't tell them" she said, as they listened to his I-pod, holding his hand.
They were sitting in the janitor's closet during lunchtime, hiding from everyone else.
"Because they still don't even know that we were actually friends, let alone a couple!" he said, looking out the dirty window.
She rolled her eyes, and blew a bubble with the gum she was chewing.
Danny cocked and eyebrow and said "how do you chew that? Doesn't it phase through your teeth?"
Ember looked at him and said "it doesn't faze through yours when you do it, do you?"
He shook his head and said "but I'm not full ghost like you."
She nodded "true, but it doesn't."
Danny nodded in understanding.
After another minute he asked "I have one other question."
She looked up at him, as she was browsing through the iPod to find another song.
"And that is?" she asked.
"Do full ghosts need to eat?" he asked.
She shook her head "we don't need to, but we can."
"Can you taste it?" he added.
She nodded.
Then she glared and said "are you trying to change the subject, because we need to stick with what we were saying!"
She took the headphones out of both their ears.
She sat in front of him and said "you need to tell your friends! I hate hiding in the shadows, I want to show our love in public, and I want you to be comfortable with it!"
Danny nodded and said "okay, I'll tell them."
Ember tilted his head up so he could look her in the eye.
"No, baby-pop, we're gonna tell them, together!" she said, and then kissed him passionately.
Danny wrapped his arms around her, and they swayed on the spot.

Sam and Tucker went to Danny's place the next day, as he had told them that he had something important to tell them.
"What do you think he's gonna tell us?" Sam asked.
Tucker shrugged.
They walked up to his room, and knocked.
The door was opened by someone they didn't expect; Ember, the former rocker ghost that almost enslaved the town.
They instantly reacted. Sam tackled her and yelled at Tucker to get the thermos. But then they saw Danny phase up through the floor and he screamed.
"Let her go!" he said, grabbing Sam.
Sam was surprised "what do ya mean; she's one of your enemies!"
"Just let her go and I'll explain!" he said, strained as he pulled on Sam's legs.
Sam sighed, released her, and then stood up. Ember stood up in a huff, a bit ticked.
Danny floated down to the floor and said "I haven't been truthful to you guys these past few weeks."
"We can see" Sam said, eyeing Ember, who was glaring at her.
Danny sighed and said "Almost all of the ghosts in the ghosts zone and I have created a truce. My parents have given up ghost hunting, and now are trying to help ghosts now and…" he trailed off, looking over at Ember.
Ember walked over to him, grabbed his hand, looked up at Tucker and Sam and finished for Danny.
"And we're both together." She said.
Both Tucker and Sam's jaws fell, and silence fell.

After what felt like years past, both his friends were still speechless.
Danny walked up to them, and waved his free hand in front of them, their eyes didn't move.
He looked at his girlfriend and shrugged.
Ember grabbed her guitar and said "should I give them a blast?"
His friends suddenly unfroze.
"Sorry" Tucker said "this is just kinda shocking!"
"Yeah, I never thought Danny would move on after me." Sam said, rubbing the back of her head.
Danny put a hand on Sam's shoulder and said "I thought we both agreed that we were both over."
Sam nodded and said "we did, but it's still kinda shocking."
She slumped against the wall "especially since I don't have another guy yet."
Danny punched his friend playfully in the shoulder and said "aw, c'mon, you'll find another guy!"
Sam looked up and smiled "well, I am a catch!"
Ember let out a laugh. Danny glanced at her, and she covered her mouth.
He stepped back and said "so you guys are okay with this?"
His friends looked at each other, then looked at him, and nodded.
They all smiled, and then Danny said "so who's up for some Nasty Burgers?"
They all raised their hands silly, and they walked out.

Sam and Tucker stared confused as they watched Ember eat the burger.
"What?" she asked, after she finished chewing.
"You can actually eat, even though you're a ghost?" Tucker asked.
"We had this discussion yesterday; yes. She doesn't need to, but she can do it, and she can taste it." He told them.
Suddenly, cold air escaped from his mouth, but he knew this wasn't from Ember. He glanced around, and then saw a disturbance in the air. There was another ghost here, and it was invisible.
"Crap! Not now!" he muttered.
"What?" all three of them all said.
"There's another ghost here, and I don't think it's one that I get along with!" he said.
He ducked under the table, there was a flash of light, and then came up through the table. Then they saw the other ghost appear into view; it was Skulker.
"What do you want Skulker, I'm on a date!" Danny said, circling around him.
"That's the point; you shouldn't be dating our kind, freak boy!" the ghost in the high tech suit pointed out an arm, and blasted an energy beam at him.
Danny created a hole in his body so it wouldn't hurt him, and then flew straight at him.
As they fought Tucker got out his PDA, and tried to hack into it, but it wouldn't pull through.
"Well it looks like he's finally gotten smart enough to fix that bug, unfortunately." He said.
Ember stood and said "well, then my baby-pops gonna have to defeat him the old fashioned way; by kicking his ass!"
"Baby-pop?!" they both said.
Ember rolled her eyes, and grabbed her guitar. She ran up behind the tech-ghost, ready to strum a blast at him, but he turned and slapped her so hard, that she flew into the wall. But instead of phasing through it, she slammed against it, and was out.
"NO!" Danny shouted. He got so angry, and hit Skulker so hard, that he broke into his suit, and the tiny ghost inside him was out of it. Danny grabbed the thermos, and sucked him in.
He ran over to Ember, and saw that she was still out. Her flame ponytail was deignited, and she was cut up bad.
He walked over to his friends and said "we need to get help for her."
Then he ran out, and began to fly towards his home.

His parents had immediately taken care of Ember. They took her to the basement, then put her on the small bed they had down there. They put her on a ghost's version of life support and noticed she was flat lining.
"Well that's to be expected." His mother said.
"But will she be okay?" Danny said, shaking in worry.
His father put a hand on his shoulder and said "son, we just need to keep an eye on her, and figure out whether she will be or not."
He turned him around and said "but right now, we're just gonna have to run some tests. Now leave."

Danny sat in his room, crying, his friends trying to cheer him up.
"Danny, it's not your fault." Tucker said, patting his friend on the back.
"You were fighting Skulker, and you couldn't protect her and yourself at the same time." Sam said.
He cried harder and said "but now I'm going to lose her all because I couldn't!"
Sam grabbed him by the sides of his head, turned him so he was looking at her and said "don't talk like that! She's tough, she'll pull through!"
Danny embraced her in a hug, thanking her. She hugged him back.
When he let go he said "we're still only friends right?"
Sam nodded.

Later on, Jazz had come into Danny's room, and hugged him, and said in a cracking voice "I'm sorry I teased you about her, little brother."
He held his sister, saying that he had forgiven her.
"I hope she pulls through" his sister said quietly, tears slipping down her face.
"I do to Jazz, I do to" and a tear fell down his face.

No one in the Fenton household slept at all that night. Maddie and Jack were constantly monitoring her. Jazz was still feeling bad for teasing her brother. And Danny just couldn't sleep.

At around 4 in the morning, Danny's mother had come into his room, seeing him under the covers of his bed.
"Danny, wake up" she said, shaking him.
"I'm not asleep" he said.
"You can come down and see her now" His mother said.
He walked downstairs, and saw her, still on the bed.
His father walked up to him and said "she's hurt pretty bad, but she's gonna pull through."
Danny hugged both his parent's thanking them for helping.
He walked over to the bed, knelt beside Ember, took one of her hands in his and whispered "Ember?"
Her eyes fluttered open. She looked at him, smiling.
"Hey sweet cheeks" she said weakly.
Tears fell down Danny's face and he said happily "you're okay!"
He threw his arms around her, and cried into her shoulder. She rubbed his back, and kissed his forehead.
"I thought I lost you!" he said, through his tears of joy.
She pulled him closer and said "honey, I'm already dead, I can't get hurt that bad anymore."
Danny laughed lightly at that, and then kissed her.
His parents smiled at this, happy that their son was relieved of his pain.
Aw, Ember's OK, and Danny's happy.

and Trust me, this isn't the end!

Danny x Ember is my One True Pairing. And it always always always will be.

In canon, Sam Manson never deserved Danny as she was often a hypocrite, self-righteous bitch. There was nothing more romantic to their relationship other than them being friends of opposite gender, and the whole thing came off more a combination of awkward teenage hormones and defensiveness in the face of relentless teasing. Adding to that is that Sam is the most divisive character in the series, many episodes unintentionally depicting her as a selfish hypocrite who demands conformity to her views despite voicing free will and the implication she's more in love with Phantom then Fenton.

Sam would always bring up how she’s looked down on for being an individual and wanting to make a statement, but never had any problem forcing her views onto others: she changed the entire school menu for her own sake, depriving everyone of choice; it’s her fault that Danny got brainwashed by Freakshow as she was the one who wanted to skip school; she treated Danny like her property, getting extremely hostile when any girl showed interest in him or when he showed interest in other girls, proving that she can only be happy for Danny when he is with her; she spies on Danny when he’s dating Valerie and doesn’t comfort him when his heart is broken by their break up, but when Danny spies on her while she’s dating Gregor, Sam gets all pissed off and threatens to end their friendship, Danny had legitimate reasons since they knew nothing about Sam's new crush and had reasons to be suspicious of this conspicuous, foreign transfer student dressed in white and black who just happened to start at Casper High the same time the Guys in White become much more active in town. Further, the exact same thing had happened before (Johnny 13 had taken an interest in Jazz, and her life was in danger as a result). Not to mention Sam is never called out for her own actions. Instead, it's Danny who apologizes while Sam laments that lying is the only way she can get a boyfriend.

If Butch Hartman had allowed Ember to be an actual character instead of 1 time villain (her debut) and a plot device for Youngblood and Kitty respectively, she and Danny could have been a perfect couple.

Ember never tried to kill Danny, while she was an antagonist, she didn’t try to hurt anyone. Her debut: the brainwashed kids were having fun, sure they were forced, but they weren’t in any danger, and Ember only fought Danny AFTER he attacked her first. And even then she didn’t aim to destroy him, she put him (and she thought Sam) under a love spell to distract them and left them alone. Even when they turn up again, she doesn’t do anything bad to the trio. Her second appearance, she was Youngblood’s plot device and still didn’t directly aim to hurt anyone until Danny attacks first, and she abandons the fight easily. Her third appearance, she’s accidentally Kitty’s plot device, and brainwashed women of Amity have fun instead of being turned into miserable drones for Spectra. She helps Danny escape from Walker’s prison, later helps Danny free himself from the Ghost Writer’s curse and save Christmas, and helps him save the Earth from the disasteroid.
