Well, with another semester in session, things are actually going pretty good.

Sure, it started off hard, what with being broke, but that was less than a week, and it usually happens every semester. I got used to all my new classes and hope to pass them with flying colors!
But I am no longer broke because just this past Wednesday, the check I was supposed to get for my summer class finally arrived, and it was $100 more than I expected, and I already have my other check for the first half of this on it's way as I type!

Anyway, with my 'bonus' check, I gave $100 to my grandma to make up for all the bus faire she's been giving me (I owe her mothe but she's not petty) and also let her use my card to buy parts for her car. I then figured out every book I need for this semester during the week and ordered them on Chegg, which was around another $100.

But I used another $100 (plus travel expenses) to head to San Francisco the other day. I went there because, with my birthday being on a Tuesday this year, I decided to celebrate it a bit early and treat myself to a day out in the big city.
(Also, all the movies I wanna see are no longer in theaters anymore...)
I did a lot more than I did last spring break, which was easier to do with more than just $40 and I didn't spend as much on food either! Instead of going to a sit-down restaurant, I got something to eat on Fisherman's wharf, and I'll tell you it is HARD to decide! An entire block of every restaurant selling the same things, but with different variations. I finally decided on a place my grandmother suggested, which was a half sit-down restaurant/half order to-go. After I was done, I bought a KISS poster at a place near Joe's Crab shack (no clue where I'll hang it with no bedroom...) then headed to pier 39 for rides, attractions, and sweets! I planned to go to the Walt Disney family museum, but it started to get late, so I walked straight from just past Fisherman's wharf clear to the BART station I took to get there, which was a long walk, but all the buses were PACKED!

I arrived home tired, with aching feet, and wanting to relax, but my grandma and I had plans to go to Safeway, and with me being able to treat myself (FINALLY!) I got 4 cases of pepsi, three of which are in our garage, and one right behind me, plus a huge sandwich and some bacon and eggs for whenever. We're planning on heading to Costco or Sams Club soon to REALLY stalk up on the essentials.

Anyway, I still got around $300 left, and some cash still in my pocket (I ended my day in San Francisco with a little less than $50 still in my pocket.) So I'll probably head out tomorrow to have someone break on of my fives into ones for bus faire and either with what remains of this check, or with part of the next one, I'll get bus passes for next month. I've done the calculations; if I go to school for 15 or more days out of the month, $60 is worth it, and usually saves me money. Sure, that's $180 for September, October and November, but it'll be worth it and I can use it every single day of the month, even when I don't have school. But, before any of this, I'm gonna make breakfast whenever tomorrow and put some of the bacon on my big sandwich halves to make an awesome lunch for the first two days this week.

After my books arrive, I will DEFINITELY get on top of the huge homework loads I should be getting. With 7 other people in this house, staying after school to do homework is a blessing in disguise, and with cash in my pocket, I no longer have to rush home if I am bored or hungry.

Will keep you guys updated during my ups and downs, later!

I know I haven't updated my journal since before my summer semester started, but better late to catch up than never. Everything's basically a big blur, so I'll just put what I can remember.

All semester I've been waiting to get my financial aid, and after jumping thru so many hoops I'm finally getting it... after the semester's over! But, it'll be nice staring a semester with money in my pocket for a change ($600 is NOTHING to sneeze at!) and will still receive my FAFSA during the regular semesters.
And it will help what with no jobs really taking me. It seems like all jobs around me require me to have a license, and I don't have mine. So I called my dad and left a message saying I need to finally learn. I'll talk to him when, and if, he ever calls me back. He might be a bit busy with my youngest step-sisters wedding coming up.

Anyway....giving up my bedroom was a bit hard, but I've adapted. I sleep on the couch at night, one blanket below me, a comforter on top of me (sometimes I used the smaller blanket when it gets to hot) and two big pillow my grandma bought to replace me old worn out pillows.
To kind of 'escape' at times I would stay after my class on campus in the designated 'quiet area'.
The music history class was EPIC though! We delved all the way back to the days of Beethoven all the way up to right before the 80's. Since it was such a short class, being the summer and all, we really had to cram things in, so we couldn't learn as easily as a regular semester class is. Heck, I even learned my professor is a die-hard KISS fan JUST LIKE ME! (but he's so die-hard that he refuses to see anything but the original line-up.) Not to mention I got out of the class with a 93% grade (quizzes are hard...)

Having a house with 9 people has been a bit rough though. I try my best not to start fights and to just stay out of them, but sometimes it's hard. With a 14-year old video game addict that's taller and more fit than me in the kitchen almost 24/7 (that's where we set up his video game area) it can be hard, especially when he gets angry. He shouts, screams, and will take his anger out on anyone. Luckily, my uncle, who already lived here, set him straight and he's gotten better. The other cousins have their moments, but the MVP of anger issues is my uncle! Whether he's yelling at my cousins (both his kids and and my aunts kids) or talking trash about me, or just talking about how much life sucks, it's like he never stops. Granted, he has his good moments, and whenever I help him out he keeps his mouth closed about bad things about me. But sometimes his good moments can't outweigh his bad moments.

And he he had a HUUUUUUGE bad moment yesterday because;

He and my aunt (his sister) got in a huge fight all over my grandmother borrowing my aunts care car. My grandma's car is having an issue and my uncle's trying to fix it. They just needed to borrow my aunt's car to take a toolbox back to an auto-part store, and when my aunt said they needed to hurry up as she needed her car, my uncle EXPLODED! They got into a huge argument which led to my aunt storming down the hall and slamming the door to my old room closed and my uncle shouting at everyone who passed by and refusing to go with my grandmother to the auto-parts store to return a tool box to get her license back (it's some kind of collateral thing.) My oldest cousin and I go with my grandma to drop it off and we return home to my uncle still having his overgrown tantrum.
He then gets into an argument with my grandma, both in conversation and thru iPad messages, which carried on late into the night.

Just to sum it up, he basically told my grandma to go f*ck herself and my grandmother is seriously considering kicking him out.

The issue for me was that I was basically caught in the crossfire. As the argument went on, I tried my best to stay out of it, but when my uncle brought it up to my grandma after we came back, he turned to me and made me vouch for him on who started the argument. I had to say my aunt did it, and not because it was her. Had I said 'no' the situation would've gotten worse, and I didn't think it was possible.

My youngest cousin (my uncles son) even said to me, after my grandmother and uncle continued the argument outside "when my dad asks you something, just say 'yes' or it'll get worse." I remember asking my cousins "Is this what it's like every day when I'm at school?" And they all basically said "yes."

After things died down and I finally settle down with my laptop, ready to find a way of escaping, my other uncle comes out of his and my aunts room/my old room. He says he and my aunt were talking and they agreed to pay for my WoW account while they're here. I ask him what they want in return and he says "we took your room dude! You deserve something in return." I thanked him and even hugged him, both him and my grandma laughing a bit and he sets up my Battle.net account to swipe his credit card and will pay for it for an indefinite amount of time. After he turns in, my grandmother told me the REAL motive for him doing this was because he knew I didn't have anywhere to escape when the argument/fight went on as they have my room. I'm grateful though and will gladly play WoW every day of my break. But now I don't have to do it to 'get my money's worth' like I usually do when I pay for it, and there is no dreaded day when the subscription ends.

Anyway, my uncle has taken his kids to the lake today to ride his friends jet-skis, my aunt and other uncle are at work, and my grandpa is... somewhere.... so with just 4 of us here, I'm gonna kick back and relax with some WoW/DA/etc.
  • Listening to: whatever my grandma's watching...
  • Watching: whatever my grandma's watching...
So I got another semester out the window, but that doesn't mean everything will be easygoing or the next 3-4 weeks.

My Aunt T and Uncle Matt will be moving in with my two cousins soon because their landlord raised their rent to a price they can't afford. So I have to give up my bedroom for them (a married couple need to have their own room!) Since the uncle I already live with has a bunk bed in his bedroom, my cousins will be sleeping in there.

Since we already have a lot of stuff, and with more people moving in with their stuff, we're gonna rent a public storage space so we can clear some room so this house won't be so packed. We're already planning of getting rid of my bed and the living room couch, which will both be replaced with my aunt and Uncles bed and their couch. Luckily, the new couch we're getting has a pull-out bed for me to sleep on once I give up my room.

While this semester may be over, I have a summer class coming up towards the end of June, but it seems they changed a lot of terms for financial aid, so I gotta jump thru a bunch of hoops to get it all over again. Until then, I'm looking for a job so I can help out. I've submitted two forms for two different jobs on my college campus. I already go there all the time, so there wouldn't exactly be a rush to get there and get things done. I could do my homework before/after my shifts without having to rush back and forth everywhere. But I'm also looking for jobs in my general area because it would also be easy having a job so close to home.

Before all this happens, though, I've finally swallowed my pride and have asked my dad to loan me some money to help out until I get a job and/or financial aid. After my mother died my sister and I received a check each month from her social security, but I never saw a cent of until I moved in here, but they stopped coming when I turned 18. My dad said he has them saved, but the uncle I already lives with says not to count on it. IDK whether or not I'm gonna confront my dad on this when asking for the money. But I did promise I would pay him back whatever he loans me. How much I will ask for/get will be determined. Hopefully it'll be enough to rent a storage space as well as get groceries. While I'm looking for a job, my grandmother said she'll pay for my cell phone to stay on so I won't worry about losing my number in case I get a call back.

When all this came down on me I was a bit pissed. I thought I'd be going without sleep, because my cousins will be on summer vacation soon, so they would be up all night even when I get a job/have classes the next day. But my grandmother said it won't be like that at all. We're gonna clear out the old computer area for my teenage cousin to put his TV screen and Xbox there. He'll have headphones so the most I'll hear is him talking. Besides, I stay up late myself when I'm on vacation. I could plug my Xbox into the living room TV so I could play there. We have a DVR so I could just record shows I might miss while my cousins have the TV/while I play.

Plus, I just have to realize that family is family. Like I always say "when the chips are down, they're all you've got." So what I have to give up my room? I'll still have a place to sleep and I'll still have most of my stuff.  Plus my Aunt T and Uncle Matt will help with the bills around the house, so that's a huge weight off my grandparents backs for a while, until my Aunt and Uncle save up enough money for a new house.

I'm rambling now, and I feel like I'm a bit out of order in my writing, so I just need to end this off here.
I'll keep you guys updated.

Annabel Pines OC description 2
Now that I've created more OCs for the next generations of Gravity Falls, I figured I'd make descriptions for all of them, and started with the one who started it all. Also, since we know more characters, I figured I needed to add more family members to her description.

This pic was drawn by :iconkujarojotu: right here kujarojotu.deviantart.com/art/… so all credit goes to him for the new OC pictures. Thanks dude!

(I guessed Mabelline may be Mabel's real name, so that's how Annabel got her middle name. But she gets her first name from her maternal grandmother to carry on her memory.)

(Yes, I know it appears that Annabel is wearing a skirt, but that's how :iconkujarojotu: drew it, and I'm happy for all his help!)
