For over a year I've had a crack on my iPad mini screen. Earlier I just dropped it and the entire screen turned into a spider-web of cracks. I look up a place to fix it and find a place that would be $49.
I tell this of my grandma, but my uncle who always interrupts whatever conversation he stumbled upon tells me of another place. I look it up then call the number, and after 3 calls, coupled with conversations between each one, I manage to schedule a time for tomorrow to fix the screen for $139 (with my grant from DVC, that's affordable.)

It will take them awhile tomorrow, but they actually come to the house to fix it, instead of me having to go to them.

TTYL, people!

...and I'm exhausted after just one day.
For five weeks I did nothing, and now that I'm back on a schedule, I'm pretty tired. Luckily, I get to sleep in tomorrow as I only have one class, which I have every day, but it's the only one on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And not only that, I get out earlier than I do on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Anyway, the first day was OK. I've figured out all the books I need, which amounts up to almost $150! But, my FAFSA check is being mailed on Friday, and when it shows up I'll put it on my debit card and order them.

The only bad sides to today is that I had to use the money I was saving for lunches to put on my ID card to be able to print stuff (the syllabus for my Public Speaking class was 36 pages, which cost $3.60 to print out!) Also, I had to download a huge document on my computer for my English class, but doing it nearly infected it with a virus! I was able to find another solution, but now I get a bunch of ads when I search google, I get pop-ups at inopportune times, and sometimes when I click the 'back' button it takes me to yahoo which I don't even use...
But, so long as I am still able to use my computer, I'm fine.

Here's to hoping my FAFSA check gets here super soon and I can get caught up. I'm gonna try and get myself tired enough to where I sleep the entire night away and not get up too early like I did today.

Usually when Christmas has passed, I get really bummed out, but this year I just feel confused. Why? Well...

Usually from the day after Thanksgiving (sometimes even the day after Halloween!) I surround myself with Christmas specials, Christmas carols, candy canes, cookies, and basically ANYTHING Christmas related. But I just couldn't do that this year, as I had to focus on not bombing my finals because if I did I would owe my school a LOT of money.

All I owe with my grants and FAFSA is 1 buck per unit and good grades, basically a C or better. But if I get bad grades, I owe all the money back I get from my grant & FAFSA, and I don't exactly have around $1,600.00 lying around.

I also thought that when the semester ended I could then condense all my Christmas spirit into one week. Long story short, it wasn't possible...

Anyway, when I got home on the last day of the semester I then paid my WoW subscription and I've been playing any chance I could get to get my moneys worth. Around Christmas Eve I stopped playing to at least focus on the holiday, where I watched some specials, opened a few cards, and ate the Mexican style dinner my family made. I got $50 from my aunt T and uncle Matt, and 2 I.O.Us from my grandma as her social security check didn't come on the 18th like she expect, but it is coming on the 4th of January so she'll get my the gift cards then.

Christmas day though wasn't exactly a let down, but it was different then usual. Instead of going to an aunt or uncles place, we went to my step-sister and her husbands place (finally, one of them is actually married to their baby-daddy...) We opened gifts there, which were really just a bunch of toys for the nieces, and some stocking stuffers for the older ones.
I got some shaving cream, axe body spray, a go-pak of Golden Vanilla Oreos (thank god my dad always remembers that I don't like chocolate), 2 gift cards, and SO MUCH mini-candy canes, which I have gotten sick of! My grandfather buys me a lot of candy canes around christmas, but he always gets cheap dollar store ones that taste more like plastic then peppermint. Oh, as for the gift cards, one was $100 for Amazon which I redeemed, but haven't used yet, and the other was $15 for Burger King. The card said $15-100, and I told my dad "If this is seriously 100 bucks, I'm gonna get FAT!" But he told me it was just 15.

After presents, more and more family showed up, and we had some fun. I chatted and drank soda with my cousin on any subject we could think of, we jumped on the trampoline with my nieces and a few of my younger cousins, and then the entire family gorged ourselves on breakfast. On my dad's side of the family, breakfast is a HUGE deal on Christmas! There's biscuits with my great-grandma's home-made gravy, my aunt Kelly's fried eggs, my grandpa Bill's Linguiça (Portuguese spicy sausage) and mountains of bacon, other types of sausage, and hash browns. I stuffed myself to my limit and then passed out. My dad then dropped my off at home, where I passed out again. The problem is, though, I didn't sleep as long as I usually do after eating large meals.

I have a shunt, which is a tube in my neck that drains all the fluid out of my brain to keep it circulating thru my body. One of the hindrances, aside from being unable to play football, wrestling, or any physical contact sport is that one a month I get really drowsy and need to sleep. And out of any day of the year my shunt 'decided' to make that day of the month CHRISTMAS DAY! In a way, though, that made it better, so this holiday passing didn't depress me like it usually does.

But maybe that's my solution; just don't make Christmas a huge deal like I always do, that way I won't get depressed when it passes. Anyway, now I'm off to buy the new expansion pack for WoW, which will also give me 7 more days of play, thus filling up my entire break before the next semester. Azeroth HERE I COME!

Spoilers Stamp
Why did I make this? Well I'll tell you why!

I was talking with my grandmother earlier about movies, and she lets slip a HUGE spoiler about Star Wars; The Force Awakened. Being the considerate person I am, I will not reveal it here.

But I am just so PISSED! Now, I am on the fence on the movie even existing (yes, I'm one of THOSE fans...) but I have been thinking about seeing it myself. My uncle took my cousin to see it the other day as a special premiere with souvenir tickets sort of deal. I really hate spoilers because they basically ruin the movie for me. I love going in to see a new movie with all the mysteries of it to open before me. But with any type of spoiler, it basically ruins the magic for me.

So for anyone else who hates spoiler alerts, you should use this!

Thank GOD for Cyber Monday.

I was done with my online business quiz earlier and figured 'eh, may as well look up prices for Warlords of Dreanor' and found that on Amazon it was 23.77. I was amazed, but figured I should wait.

I leave to go get a pizza and swing by GameStop on the way home, wondering if it's cheaper there. After a bit of waiting, they tell me it's 12.99! I ask them how long it'll last and the worker says she's unsure as it was only supposed to be for Black Friday, but it was extended for some reason. I shrug it off and start walking off until I see their calendar and am reminded that it's CYBER MONDAY! So I rush back and buy it, as it won't be any cheaper afterward.

For something that was $40 only a few weeks ago, I just got for $14.16. But I'll have to wait for it...

Finals are coming up, and I need to study for them. But since WoW and studying don't exactly go hand-in-hand, I'm gonna have to wait about 2 weeks before I start playing.

Update 12/13/15: I took it back to the store. It's cheaper for $12.49 online. And I believe downloading from Battle.net comes with 30 free days, so that means I might not have to pay for a subscription over winter break.
